Simon Gilchrist – Managing Director

Simon started BCMY Ltd in 2002 with a loan from the Prince’s Trust and initially ran the company from his bedroom.  As a Plymouth University graduate he had launched his career at Envirostream where he set up the UK’s first charity recycling programme in 1995.

Since its humble beginnings Simon has led BCMY through sustained growth. Recycle4Charity was launched in 2003 to manage ink cartridge recycling; mobile phones were added in 2005 in response to the market. Having kept pace with increasing demand his company now has several full time staff and operates from an 11,000 sq ft warehouse in Southern England.

Simon is married with a young family and is a keen football fan and golfer.

Jeremy Gilchrist – Sales and Purchasing Director

Jeremy joined BCMY as a director in 2009 to work on client and supplier relationships and to design intelligent customer-centric services. 

Having graduated from the University of West England with a degree in Business Decision Analysis, Jeremy worked briefly for the Police before moving to France for 3 years. He then returned to England to set up a luxury textiles business which landed a Harrods contract within 6 months of trading.  He joined his brother’s business in 2009 and has helped BCMY’s growth keep pace with the exponential growth of the industry. 

Jeremy is married with a young daughter. He cycles to work, plays golf and supports his local football team.
